Mariano Puente Uslé

President and founder of the Jarahonda Equestrian Sports Club. 
UNED Associate Professor - Equestrian Tourism Management Course.  
Mariano studied Economics and Business Administration at the University of Madrid. After some years of office work, he left his job and moved to the family farm to work with horses. Since then he has not stopped training and working with them. 
For over twenty years he has organized trail rides and has continued his involvement in the didactics of this field by participating as a teacher in farrier courses and Equestrian Tourism (National University online). 
He also participates in competitions of different riding disciplines such as TREC, stadium jumping and Eventing.  
Until 2012 he was part of Spain´s national TREC team, winning team gold several times and a third individual. Mariano is also an international TREC judge.  
In 2018 The European Association of Economy and Competitiveness awarded him the Gold Medal for Merit, recognizing his entrepreneurial spirit for the promotion of equestrian tourism, in the Sierra de Madrid and the rest of Spain.
